Ricky D. Montijo is a multi-instrumentalist and song writer out of Atascadero who has a blend of reggae and acoustic groove.

A California native, Montijo is a vocalist and plays guitar, bass, drums, percussion and saxophone. He has played with a number of musicians with wildly different styles(reggae,metal, celtic, funk, acoustic, world music, country, hip hop) and has personally been musically advised by the likes of Jo Jo Garza (Los Lonely Boys), Eek A Mouse, Joe Walsh, Selwyn Brown (keyboards/vocals, Steel Pulse) David Hinds (guitar/vocals, Steel pulse) Danny Seraphine (drummer, Chicago). Taking the advice, advise, tips and techniques he learned from these seasoned musicians to heart, Montijo incorporated them into his music.

Montijo has been playing music for 8 years and jokes that he hasn’t found anything else he’s as good at. He hopes to be releasing his solo album by the end of this summer.
